Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1 Marrakesh – Skoura

Pick up at the guest’s choice (Riad or Hotel) at 8 am.

Departure from Marrakesh heading to Skoura, crossing the High Atlas, an obligatory route to reach our destination, where we cross through the highest mountain pass in Morocco, the Tizi’nTichka, with panoramic stops and spectacular views that will amaze you. The Berber villages are barely distinguishable from the color of the earth, goats and sheep perched on the slopes led by their shepherds, women carrying large bales of hay on their backs to feed their animals, all in a landscape punctuated with olive and fruit trees.

We will make a stop at an Argan oil cooperative, where you can buy cosmetic products and at the same time taste mint tea with a typical dish of the area. Once over the mountain pass, the landscape changes abruptly, becoming semi-arid desert.

We will take a route that will take us to Kasbah Telouet, where you can make a visit. Once upon a time there was a grandiose Palace, that of "The Glaoui family", which was built on an old Kasbah dating from the 18th century, and which controlled the salt routes from deep in the Sahara that had to pass up through the Drâa Valley.

From here the route continues through the Unila Valley with its wonderful landscapes and Berber villages, to the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, where we can stop for a leisurely meal and then visit the Kasbah, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the place where They have filmed scenes from many Hollywood movies such as Gladiator.

Once the visit is over, we will continue the route to the Skoura valley on the "Route of the Thousand Kasbahs" crossing the city of Ouarzazate often used in film sets. In the afternoon arrival at the hotel where you will stay in a grove of palm trees, Skoura.
